Rather, the relationships of Will are the most important part of the movie. He is deepy traumatized. Therefore, he is afraid to make new connections that challenge him or to seek out new opportunities, staying in his comfort zone. Wills therapist Sean realizes this quickly, and he is the only one to do so. Wills girlfirend Skylar does not, and challenges him to seek out new opportunities, which leads to the two breaking up. However, with the help from his friends and his therapist, Will realizes that there is no reason not to explore opportunities, and that he must not be afraid to do so. The movie ends on Will venturing out into the world to reconnect with Skylar. I was 11yo when I saw this, luckily my brother left the VHS Rental on the video cabinet. Grateful I got to watch it. Spending 30 years studying to get to where I'm at now not by a gift but by sheer hard work. The scene for me that drove me to ignore my critics was ''i'd do anything to have what you've got'' - that scene when Chuckie tells Will he owes it to them to make it in life with the gift. After 2 decades away from my family I finally return home at the pinnacle of my career ready to open my own practice. Movies made impacts in peoples lives back then. RIP Robin Williams. May we all remember our childhood and live with happiness. Love to all. Thanks for reading.
